Since blade servers take air from the front and blow it out the back, a quality server rack cabinet will demand special venting for air-flow. If you need a secure curio cabinet, the front and rear entrances should be mesh or punctured. This allows you to lock the doors and still be able to see your hardware. Depending on your room, you may even install a fan for extra air flow movement. Many servers use mounting brackets that have a flange that fits in a main market square hole on the rackrails of the cabinet or rack. It is imperative that the cabinet you choose have this type of rackrail. There are other types of server racks usually 4-post server racks. Typically, they are a frame which has 2-sets of vertical main market square holed rackrails that alter in depth. Some of the better 4-post shelves can adjust from 26-42 inches wide deep. This is a very useful low cost way to put your hardware on.
